Hub Stories: Meet Chad

Name: Chad Cecil

Position: SJ Worship leader / Hub Venue manager

The Snapshot: Chad has a passion for Jesus and for music. For the last couple of years, He has been helping our students develop a heart for both Jesus and music through a wide variety of experiences. In addition to leading our weekly music/worship at SJ, Chad oversees the venue aspect of the Hub. This position allows him to build relationships with the musicians in Jackson while helping the Hub to become a great music venue. Chad is a gifted song-writer, and his band "Chad Cecil and the Family Dentistry" is about to release their first EP.

*I've worked with lots of musicians and worship leaders over the past 15 years. The thing that I appreciate most about Chad is his heart. He is a musician to the core - but He is a Jesus follower first and foremost. I have watched him patiently lead and develop young musicians, even when it meant that quality had to take a hit (a really hard thing for good musicians to endure). Chad's heart for Jesus and belief in good music are what make him such a big part of SJ and the Hub
